We did a ton of research on which car seat to transition our little girl onto from an infant car seat. After many hours of research we decided to get this one. It has proven to be wonderful. It is a little heavy, but worth it, because I feel like it is made solid. It tightens well in the car both through the latch system or the regular seat belt. My daughter fits into it perfectly. I read some of the reviews where the middle buckle part of the system wasn't in the right spot- well it's been in the perfect spot for my daughter in the smallest position, she is 16 months and in the 25-50 percentiles for weight, so there is plenty of room for her to grow with this car seat. It's super east to take all the coverings off and throw them all in the washing machine. I'm glad we decided on this option of car seat because it will grow with our child and we won't have to purchase another car seat for her, since it converts all the way up to booster seat.

I have had this carseat for about 6 months. My daughter who is now almost 3 1/2 threw up in this carseat last month. We had to take it apart to take off the fabric and wash it in the washer. It took one hour to put back together, and even then, I don't think we did it right, and now the straps won't extend enough to fully close. We have tried everything - we've spent hours taking it apart and putting it back together but cannot get the straps to extend enough to close around her - and she is VERY PETITE, weight in at only 30 lbs. I wish I could return this carseat, I am so dissapointed. We have several Britax convertable carseats which are much easier to take apart and put back together, but they are very bulky. I've ordered a sunshine radian xtsl to replace it as I heard that one is much easier to put together if taken apart.

I bought this for my son when he was 2. I LOVE this seat! Its sturdy, its affordable and its easy to install. The one downside this seat was the hard unmovable armrests. This made it difficult to lift my taller than most son into the seat without him hitting his head on the frame of the car.

About Graco
In 1942, Russell Gray and Robert Cone formed Graco Metal Products, in Philadelphia, PA. For 11 years, the firm fabricated machine and car parts for local manufacturers.
